I started going to Sarah’s fitness classes in Carrigrohane parish centre almost two years ago and did several 6 week sessions in a variety of styles; step and tone, circuits, stability ball etc, and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
One of the best things about Sarah’s classes is the fun and relaxed atmosphere. She manages to get people to work hard, but with all the laughter and banter going on, you don’t notice the time go by and you end up having a good social outing as well as exercising and toning.
My husband and I attend a weekly class and I’ve even done a step and tone with my teenage daughter for a time. We all thoroughly enjoy them and look forward to our sessions each week.
Getting my husband to take part in a fitness class says something about how good Sarah is! He came along for a trial few weeks and now he is the one reminding me that it’s our workout night. His desk job means that he sits hunched over a computer for much of the day and consequently had a very stiff back and neck pain too. The classes have really helped with back flexibility and the neck pain has reduced considerably. Sarah tailored the exercises to suit his needs and they have been great for me too! It has become our time in the week where we catch up on each other’s news as we travel to and from the class and the three of us always have a great laugh and come away feeling the better of that.
The step and tone with my daughter was also great fun. We worked harder so as not to look bad in front of each other! I needed to prove that I wasn’t past it at 48 and she couldn’t let the teenage side down either! This was the most tiring of the classes I have attended and we always felt proud to have got to the end of it. My daughter said she had more energy and I definitely feel much fitter. I didn’t set out to lose weight, just wanted to be more toned and just a bit healthier, but I have had to take in or replace several items of clothing with a size smaller and have lost around 7lbs since I last weighed myself (only happens a few times a year so not a very scientific piece of evidence!)
So. can’t really recommend Sarah Casey Fitness highly enough. Well done Sarah, we all think you are great!
